Overview

NAT-1209M Universal Gear Lube is a multipurpose, thermally stable, thermally durable gear lubricant recommended for use in all types of enclosed industrial and automotive gear drives where extreme pressure characteristics are needed.

NAT-1209M is blended from the finest grade, high quality, severely solvent-refined, severely hydroprocessed, high viscosity index, 100% pure paraffin base oils. Blended into these pure paraffin base oils is a highly specialised, non-corrosive, thermally stable, thermally durable, multifunctional, extreme pressure additive package that provides:

• Enhanced thermal and oxidative stability to handle operating temperatures of 300°F to 350°F (149°C to 177°C).
• Excellent extreme pressure properties to protect gears and bearings from excessive wear and fatigue.
• Prevention of sludge and carbon deposits that can erode seals.
• Excellent seal compatibility.
• Enhanced protection of copper, brass, and bronze components from corrosion.
• Non-corrosivity to brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metal parts.
• Excellent rust and corrosion protection in dry conditions and in the presence of moisture.
• Excellent water resistance and water separability.
• Enhanced gear, bearing, and seal cleanliness.
• Excellent resistance to foaming.
